African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) donated a set of IT equipment to Somali Police Force (SPF) on November 22.

The equipment is designed to help build the capacity of SPF’s National Election Security Taskforce.

SPF’s taskforce was formed to take charge of all security-related issues for the upcoming elections.

On Sunday, AMISOM delivered a donation of various IT equipment donated by the government of Denmark.

The assortment of equipment included high-speed laptops, multi-biometric scanners, and desktop computers.

Server racks were also part of the equipment delivered to the Somali police.

This year’s elections have attracted plenty of interest from Somalis and the international community.
