The African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) launched a Somalia stabilization training for new military officers.
The training, which kicked off on Tuesday, is for 12 military officers who recently joined ATMIS.
Their role is to help stabilize the East African nation by making it secure and peaceful for everyone who is in it.
Mogadishu has been selected to host the training.
ATMIS trainers will cover a number of topics during the training. These include international humanitarian law, their code of conduct, and child protection.
Moreover, they are to undergo training on military operations too.
