The Somali Police Force Chief, General Asad Osman Abdullahi, has dismissed Abdifatah Bashir Ali from his position as the police commissioner at Mogadishu’s airport.
Gen. Abdullahi sent Ali packing in an announcement made on Friday from the police headquarters in Mogadishu.
This decision comes shortly after Ali’s recent promotion to the rank of Colonel.
He will be succeeded by Ahmed Mohamed Ali from Galkayo, who previously served in this role and brings relevant experience back to the position.
