Somalia’s membership in the Global Privacy Assembly marks a significant milestone in the nation’s commitment to data protection and privacy.
With this accreditation, the Somali Data Protection Authority (DPA) joins an international coalition of over 130 countries working together to enhance global standards and cooperation on privacy.
The official membership was granted during the 46th Annual Meeting of the Assembly, held in Jersey, Channel Islands, UK.
This move positions Somalia to benefit from global insights, resources, and best practices in data protection, aligning the country with international privacy standards.
