A delegation from the United Nations visited the leader of the regional state of Southwest in Somalia.
James Swan, the UN Special Representative to Somalia, led the delegation in visiting President Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen of the Southwest State.
The visit by the UN delegation took place on Sunday, July 31.
President Laftagareen and the UN team discussed several issues.
Top on their list of discussions was the ongoing drought and humanitarian situation in the Southwest State.
They also discussed the security of the region.
President Laftagareen expressed gratitude to the UN family under the leadership of Swan for their continued support and encouragement.
