A former President of the Federal Republic of Somalia met with two regional state leaders in Mogadishu to discuss the ongoing electoral impasse.
Ex-President Sharik Sheikh Ahmed met with President Said Abdullahi Deni and President Ahmed Islam Madobe of Puntland and Jubbaland respectively.
The meeting between the three leaders took place on March 16.
They met ahead of the meeting between Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and Federal Member States (FMS) expected to take place later this week.
During Tuesday’s meeting, ex-President Ahmed discussed ways of solving the crisis that prevents Somalia from holding successful parliamentary and presidential polls.
