President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo hailed the agreement reached between the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and opposition on February 25.
On Thursday night, Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble held a meeting with the Council of Presidential Candidates Union at Decale Hotel in Mogadishu.
Roble and the candidates discussed several issues.
At the end of the meeting, they agreed that the rally planned by opposition in Mogadishu on Friday would be postponed for the next 10 days.
Government side also apologized for the violent treatment of opposition politicians and their supporters on February 19.
Farmaajo said that the agreement provides the country with a solid foundation for discussions to resolve electoral impasse.
