Federal MP Criticizes Baidoa Meeting

House of People MP Muktar Mohamed Guled has raised concerns about a meeting organized by the Southwest State leadership in Baidoa, which reportedly involves federal MPs and foreign intelligence agents, believed to be from Ethiopia.

Speaking to local media, Guled expressed strong opposition to this gathering, claiming that it could undermine the region’s interests and threaten Somalia’s national integrity.

He emphasized the importance of protecting both regional and national unity and stability, praising any efforts made to halt this meeting.

Guled’s statement reflects growing tensions regarding foreign influence and regional politics, particularly in light of Ethiopia’s historical involvement in Somali affairs.
