Somalia’s Ministry of Finance has commended the World Bank for supporting reform efforts in the country.
Dr. Abdirahman Beileh, the Minister of Finance in the Federal Government of Somalia, praised the World Bank for extending unparalleled support to his country.
Furthermore, he also mentioned the amazing efforts the global financial institution has made to strengthen Somalia’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Beileh was speaking during a virtual session held to discuss World Bank’s engagements with and in Somalia.
The discussions took place on the sidelines of the virtual annual meetings between the Ministry of Finance and Hafez Ghanem, the Vice President of World Bank in Africa.
Currently, the Federal Government of Somalia, through the finance ministry, has embarked on a series of fiscal reforms, which have borne fruit for the country.
