Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty recently reviewed the implementation progress of agreements made during the October 10 bilateral summit and the trilateral one with Eritrea, both held in Asmara.
They emphasized the need to sustain regular consultations on shared priorities, reflecting a commitment to strengthened regional collaboration.
Abdelatty reiterated Egypt’s firm support for Somalia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and unity, underscoring respect for Somalia’s state institutions and counterterrorism initiatives.
He also voiced opposition to external interference in Somalia’s internal matters, reinforcing Egypt’s dedication to Somalia’s stability and security.
