Internally displaced persons (IDPs) from clash-ridden Las Anod have been slow to receive assistance.
Humanitarian organizations claim that they lack the funds needed to extend assistance to the IDPs.
According to them, hundreds of thousands are unable to get any form of intervention.
The situation is worsened by the fact that the region has been feeling from drought.
Las Anod clashes kicked off in February this year.
Residents have not known any peace since then.
The clashes are between local militants and Somaliland security forces.
Somaliland forces have been in the region since 2007.
Many IDPs claim that they have access to water but no food. Medical treatment, including medicine, is also hard to find.
