Jubaland Security Minister escaped from NISA detention

Zakiya Hussein Amed, who is the Deputy Police Commander, has confirmed the escape of (former) Jubaland Security Minister Abdirashid Hassan from the NISA secret location, where he was being held. Hassan escaped the detention house where he was transferred one month ago by the Somali Government due to allegations of Human Rights violations.
‘Former Jubaland security Minister, Abdirashid Hassan (Janan) has escaped this morning and Somalia security agencies searching underway to capture him, we ask the public to report if they see him”, said the Deputy Police Commander.
Hassan was arrested on August 31 last year, at the peak of the political feud between Jubaland the FGS.
