Kenya Airways (KQ) has cancelled all its flights to and from Mogadishu.
The Kenyan carrier, which prides itself in being one of the best performing airlines in the region, made this announcement following increased confirmations of positive Coronavirus cases.
Apart from the one confirmation in Somalia, Kenya has confirmed seven cases so far.
Other countries in the Horn of Africa region have also confirmed positive cases in the last one week. The countries include Rwanda, Ethiopia, Somalia, and Tanzania.
Apart from banning Mogadishu flights, other cities affected include Dubai, Johannesburg, Bangkok, Paris, and London.
KQ’s announcement follows a similar one by Turkish Airlines a day ago.
