President Ahmed Islan Madobe of Jubbaland and President Said Abdullahi Deni of Puntland have arrived in Mogadishu for the much-awaited talks with President Mohamed Farmaajo.
Towards the end of August, it was reported that Deni and Madobe would be traveling to Mogadishu soon for talks with the leaders of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).
The Mogadishu talks follow their failure to attend the recently concluded Dhusamareb III conference between FGS and Federal Member States (FMS).
Both Deni and Madobe were received warmly once they arrived at Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu.
Deni and Madobe continue holding strong views against Dhusamareb III agreement.
According to them, the agreement is nothing but a “personal opinion” between Farmaajo, the three FMS leaders who were present, and the Mayor of Mogadishu.
Dhusamareb III talks already gave the country an electoral model for the upcoming elections.
