Man Who Murdered His Ex-Wife in Wanlaweyn Killed by Security Forces

A man who murdered his former wife in Wanlaweyn is dead.

Security forces in the region killed the man suspected of fatally shooting his ex-wife in a district in Lower Shabelle.

According to sources in the security sector, the man killed Zeynab Hussein Omar using an AK47.

After killing the mother of four, the man then engaged security officers in a fierce shootout that eventually led to his death.

The woman’s murder is the latest in a trend of domestic violence that has gripped Somalia since the turn of the year.
