Somali military killed several Al-Shabaab militants in an operation in Bay region.
The military undertook the offensive on Thursday.
During the operation in Bardale district, the military recovered nine AK-47 rifles from the nine militants killed.
It also recovered one PKM automatic machine gun as well as eight boxes full of ammunition.
It is not clear whether any military personnel was either killed or injured in the operation.
