Families in Mogadishu fled from their homes as tension continued rising in the capital city on Monday.
The families were caught up in the April 25 clashes between soldiers loyal to President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo and those against his term extension.
On Monday and Tuesday, families were seen fleeing their homes.
Several of them said that their homes had become unstable and insecure. They could not risk the lives of their families any more.
Most of them were from Hodan, Kaaraan, and Howlwadaag districts in the capital city.
They mostly opted to travel in auto-rickshaws and Public Service Vehicles (PSVs).
