Mogadishu to Host Two-Day Annual Judicial Conference

Mogadishu is scheduled to host the two-day annual conference of the judiciary starting from January 13.

On Wednesday, members and representatives of different arms of the judiciary met in Mogadishu for the first day of the conference.

This year’s conference tackles various issues pertinent to the excellent performance of the judiciary.

Participants at the conference are scheduled to discuss ways of resolving corruption, which continues to choke the judiciary and other arms of government.

Secondly, they will discuss ways of executing judicial judgments.

Ways of tackling the problem of forgery is likely to feature prominently in the discussions among members of the judiciary.

The conference is likely to attract more than 300 participants.
