Mogadishu’s international airport is to undergo renovation and expansion works, as announced by the government.
Abdihakim Abdow Haydar, the Acting Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, announced the plans recently while touring the Aden Adde International Airport.
He was in the company of Ahmed Jama Omar and Ahmed Moalim Hassan.
Omar and Hassan serve as the Deputy Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation as well as the Director of the Somali Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) respectively.
Haydar added that the runway would receive some attention as would security too.
Furthermore, the federal government plans to beautify the facility.
