The Governor of Somalia’s Mudug region visited several villages in the region to evaluate the extent of the ongoing drought.
Somalia is currently in the midst of its worst droughts in the last four decades.
Millions of lives are at risk as fears regarding the emergence of famine in Somalia continue to grow.
On July 5, the Mudug Governor led a delegation comprising regional lawmakers from the Galmudug State to visit several villages.
Some of the villages visited include Dhuure and Doorshaanie.
Other villages they visited were Miro-dhero, Halawi, Naara-jiinie, Ali Arab, and Bandarqali.
