The new United Nations Special Envoy has arrived in Mogadishu.
Catriona Laing, the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General, arrived in the Somali capital on Monday.
Daud Aweis, the Minister of Information, led other officials in welcoming Laing whose plane landed at the Aden Adde International Airport.
Upon her arrival, Laing thanked the Somali government for the warm welcome accorded her.
She promised to inject new blood into the activities of the global body in Somalia.
