This morning in Mogadishu, a significant event took place to connect Somalia’s National ID System with the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Higher Education’s services.
The National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) integrated the ID system with the ministry’s services from today.
The initiative is expected to simplify and enhance access to essential educational services for students and teachers across the country, providing a streamlined and secure way to verify identities in educational settings.
The event was attended by key officials, including Minister of Interior, Ali Yusuf Ali, Minister of Education, Mr. Farah Sheikh Abdulkadir, NIRA Director-General Abdiwali Abdulle, the Galmudug State Minister of Education, and Directors-General from Banadir Regional Administration, South West State, and HirShabelle.
Representatives from various educational associations were also present, highlighting the collaborative effort to implement this important development.
