The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) says that three humanitarians have been kidnapped in Somalia in the first four months of the year.
OCHA said this in a report it released this week.
In the report, the organization claims that apart from those kidnapped, five other humanitarians have been injured in attacks against them.
Al-Shabaab has a history of kidnapping and attacking humanitarians in Somalia.
Furthermore, OCHA also states that eight cases of assault and intimidation against the humanitarians have been reported to authorities.
