According to the United Nations, the drought has forced 918,000 to flee from their homes in search of food for their loved ones.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said this in its latest report.
The OCHA report shows that 90 percent of the East African nation is experiencing drought conditions labeled from severe to extreme.
There are fears that the country is heading to a fifth consecutive failure of rains.
However, the high number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) forced to leave their homes in search of better possibilities elsewhere is a worrying trend.
