Preparations for the 62nd Anniversary celebrations of the forming of the Somali National Army (SNA) are in top gear.
SNA is scheduled to celebrate its 62 anniversary this week.
The national army has been in existence since 1960 when it was established to protect the country from external threats.
Each year, the army conducts celebrations to mark its birth almost six decades ago.
The celebrations are usually in the form of military parades along the streets of Mogadishu, the nation’s capital.
Other festivals also take place at different venues around the country.
