Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble appointed his new cabinet on Monday, October 19 in Mogadishu.
Roble’s new-look cabinet has a balance of new and old faces.
Mahdi M. Gulaid has been reappointed the Deputy Prime Minister.
Other than Gulaid, 15 of the new ministers are from the previous cabinet. Dr. Abdirahman Dualeh Beileh retains his position as the Minister of Finance.
Ahmed Isse Awad will continue serving as the Minister of Foreign Affairs while Dr. Fawziya Abikar Nur remains the Minister of Health.
Roble’s new cabinet includes four women too.
However, his cabinet is not expected to remain in office for long.
