Roble Denies Fighting President Farmaajo

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has denied reports that he’s fighting President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo.

Roble said this in Nairobi while meeting leaders and businessmen from the Somali community.

In his address to the businessmen and leaders, Prime Minister Roble said that his relationship with President Farmaajo is good.

“There’s no disagreement between the President and I,” Roble said.

“Anybody who has seen my statements and the President’s can see that I have never attacked or disagreed with him,” he continued.

Towards the end of last week, reports of disagreements between Roble and Farmaajo emerged after the President issued a directive prohibiting any government officer from signing international agreements.

President Farmaajo ordered that all agreements must wait until after the elections.

However, Prime Minister Roble said that government officers must be allowed to continue doing their work as stipulated in the constitution.
