Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble held a meeting with Omar Abdirashid Sharmarke on August 12 to discuss various issues affecting Somalia.
Roble’s meeting with ex-Prime Minister Sharmarke was quite telling.
The two leaders discussed the ongoing elections in the East African nation. They also talked about the political transitions taking place in Somalia.
The Horn of African country is currently holding senatorial elections in different parts.
Thus far, several Federal Member States (FMS) have held their Upper House elections. These include Jubaland, Southwest, Puntland, and Galmudug.
HirShabelle is the only regional state yet to hold its elections.
Later this month, Somalia is expected to hold the long-awaited presidential elections.
