Senator Abshir Axmad, the Deputy Speaker of Somalia’s Upper House (Senate), has hailed the appointment of Mohamed Hussein Roble as the country’s new Prime Minister.
The Deputy Speaker stated that he has known Roble for years and believes that his appointment is great news for the country.
On Thursday, President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo appointed Roble the new Prime Minister in the Federal Government of Somalia.
Roble joins public service from the private sector where he has held senior positions with international organizations.
Prior to his appointment as the new premier on September 17, Roble had served at the International Labor Organization (ILO) offices in Nairobi, Kenya.
Axmad said that Roble possesses the experience, qualifications, and temperament needed to lead the government as the new premier.
He encouraged Somalis to trust in Roble’s ability to manage the responsibilities entrusted to him by Farmaajo and the entire country.
