Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has urged the National Consultative Forum to ensure that elections for the Upper House take place on schedule.
Roble issued this rallying call to the forum on July 25.
The forum brings together representatives from the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS), Federal Member States (FMS), and Banadir Regional Administration (BRA).
Prime Minister spoke with members of the forum during a virtual meeting held with them on Sunday.
All the members of the National Consultative Forum attended the virtual meeting and assured Roble that they would adhere to the electoral timetable.
Jubbaland could be the first region to hold senatorial elections later next week.
