Beledweyne is in shock after a young man was shot and killed in Beledweyne.
According to eyewitnesses, the young man was killed just outside his home on Tuesday evening.
They add that two armed assailants shot the young man.
At the time of the incident, the young man was watching a video on his mobile phone.
The assailants had spent time watching the young man before approaching him. Some reports mention that the assailants stole the young man’s phone.
Thereafter, they fled the scene.
Residents added that incidents of mobile phone thefts have been on the rise in recent days. They asked authorities to investigate the incidents before the situation worsens.
