SNA Detonate IED Bomb in Hiiraan Region

The Somali National Army (SNA) detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) in Hiirn region on November 20.

SNA troops in the region said they suspect Al-Shabaab of planting the IED with the intention of harming local residents.

The IED’s exact location was Bulo-burde, a Hiiraan district.

This is the latest example of the incredible work by SNA soldiers to make Somalia secure as the country prepares for parliamentary and presidential polls before end of the year.

Al-Shabaab seems hell-bent on filling Somalis across the country with fear.

Security and military officers have been working round-the-clock to nullify Al-Shabaab’s terror efforts.
