Somali National Army (SNA) held an operation jointly with some of its international partners to flash out Al-Shabaab adherents in a Hiiraan village.
Saturday’s operation centered on Qob-Yahas village in the Hiiraan region.
Thus far, the number of casualties involved on either side is yet to be clarified. However, unconfirmed reports indicate that the terrorists suffered a heavy loss.
SNA and its international security partners carried out the operation after receiving intel.
The intel reports stated that Al-Shabaab adherents had been seen gathering in the village. It was not clear whether they were gathering to launch attacks or plan them.
