The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) has a new Food Security Advisor.
Mahamuud Moallim, the SODMA Commissioner, announced the appointment of Abdullahi Godah Barre as the organization’s food security advisor.
He assumes office at a time when the nation is in the middle of a severe drought.
The drought, which is the worst in the country’s history in decades, has led to extreme food insecurity and scarcity of water all over the nation.
