Somali National Army (SNA) soldiers were able to repel an attack by Al-Shabaab militants on Monday morning.
According to sources within the military, the soldiers repelled an attack that the terrorists had launched in Sabiid near Afgoye.
The militants had attacked a military base in the town that is close to 35kms to the northwest of Mogadishu on the morning of May 9.
It’s unclear whether any casualties were reported in the incident.
Sources within the military are yet to provide those details.
