Somalia’s cabinet has given its seal of approval to the Anti-Piracy and Anti-Kidnapping Bill.
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the bill in its weekly sitting held on Thursday.
The Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs hailed the Cabinet for this move.
The ministry welcomed the approval of a bill that not only identifies but also regulates offenses linked to piracy and kidnapping in the country.
Hassan Mo’allin, the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, commended his colleagues.
He stated that his colleagues demonstrated a good understanding of the challenges surrounding piracy and kidnapping cases.
