A Somalia court sentenced an Al-Shabaab operative to life imprisonment on Thursday, April 8.
A Mogadishu court found Abdulkadir H. Abukar guilty of the crimes the government charged him with and sentenced him to serve the remainder of his life behind bars.
Other Al-Shabaab operatives received different sentences.
Safiya Ali and her daughter Nasra Daud were sentenced to 15 and 3 years respectively.
They were found guilty of carrying and storing weapons.
Zakariye Hassan, Mohamed Isse, and Abdiqani H. Hashi were each sentenced to 15 years imprisonment.
Abukar was reportedly their ringleader.
