Somali Forces Repel Two Terror Attacks in Dhusamareb

Security forces in Somalia repelled a couple of terror attacks in Dhusamareb on Thursday.

Somalia’s security forces repelled the attacks planned by Al-Shabaab troops in the region just on the outskirts of the Galgudud town.

Al-Shabaab had planned the attack at a security checkpoint erected at Qodax village.

A security officer died in the suicide car bomb while his colleague suffered injuries for which he was rushed to hospital for medical treatment.

The two security personnel placed their vehicle in front of the cars laden with explosives.

Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack near Dhusamareb, where the country’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has been for the last two months.
