A delegation from the Federal Government of Somalia, led by officials from the Prime Minister’s office, delivered medical assistance to Jowhar to boost the fight against COVID-19.
Doctors and members of the COVID-19 National Prevention Committee were also in the delegation that arrived at the capital of the Middle Shabelle region.
The shipment contained medicine and supplies that health officials in Jowhar, which as the headquarters of Hiran, need for testing and curbing the spread of Coronavirus in the region.
Further, the supplies come hot in the wake of the government’s delivery of medical equipment to the country’s Southwest State on Wednesday.
The regional Ministry of Health, together with local residents, expressed their gratitude to the government for the assistance that will go a long way towards halting the spread of the disease.
