President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has called for a National Council Consultative (NCC) Summit on April 21-22.
The President sent letters of invitations to the leaders of all the Federal Member States (FMS) on Tuesday.
President Mohamud sent invitations to the president of Puntland, Jubbaland, HirShabelle, Southwest, and Galmudug.
He has also invited the Mayor of Mogadishu who is also the Governor of the Benadir Regional Administration.
At this point, it is not clear whether the leaders of the SSC-Khatumo would attend the upcoming summit. They have been calling for the transition of SSC-Khatumo into a regional state too.
