Somali Prime Minister to Make Inaugural Visit to Kenya

Somali Prime Minister will make an inaugural visit to Kenya soon. Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre plans to make the visit to the neighboring nation next month.

Korir Sing’oei, Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs, confirmed Prime Minister Barre’s impending visit earlier on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Barre reinforced a government policy prohibiting holding of official meetings outside the country.

The decision to ban such meetings was made in the weekly cabinet meeting held in Mogadishu under the leadership of the Prime Minister.

During his Kenyan visit, Barre is expected to hold talks on wide-ranging issues. Some of these include defense, security, trade, investment, and aviation.
