DOHA — The Minister of Internal Security for the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail (Fartaag), held bilateral talks with Qatar’s Minister of State for Interior Affairs, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Mohammed Al Thani, during an official diplomatic visit.
The high-level discussion focused on strengthening the security alliance between the two countries and aligning their strategic objectives regarding regional stability.
Focus on Intelligence and Infrastructure
During the meeting, the ministers examined mechanisms to improve security coordination and intelligence sharing between Mogadishu and Doha. A significant portion of the dialogue addressed the development of operational frameworks for key projects, with a particular focus on constructing durable social and economic infrastructure.
