Somalia and Ethiopia Ministers Discuss Ways of Enhancing Bilateral Relations

Somali and Ethiopian ministers discussed ways of enhancing bilateral relations between their respective nations.

Abshir Omar, the Somali Minister of Foreign Affairs held discussions with his Ethiopian counterpart Demeke Mekonnen in New York.

The two foreign affairs ministers are in New York for the 77th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

They met on the sidelines of the UNGA77 on Wednesday, September 21.

Omar and Mekonnen agreed to pursue enhanced bilateral relations and joint cooperation between their respective nations.

Historically, Somalia and Ethiopia enjoy solid diplomatic and bilateral ties.
