President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has called on regional state leaders to take a non-partisan approach to critical issues affecting the country.
He said that a non-partisan approach would enable the leaders to resolve issues that are central to the welfare of the nation.
The President listed some of these issues as sovereignty, independence, and unity.
President Mohamud added protection of the citizens and the safeguarding of national security.
Mohamud assured the leaders of the Federal Member States (FMS) of an unbiased partnership with the federal government too.
The partnership will focus on managing humanitarian efforts, development initiatives, and economic growth.
