Somalia Reduces Malaria Prevalence Rate to 4.1 Percent in 2023

Somalia has successfully reduced malaria prevalence rate to 4.1 percent in 2023.

Back in 2015, the malaria prevalence rate in the East African nation stood at 20.1 percent.

However, the Ministry of Health worked hard to reduce it.

The ministry worked closely with the World Health Organization (WHO).

The health body provided technical support jointly with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

Global Fund provided the financial support required to reduce malaria in the country.
