The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) CEO, Mr. Sultan Al-Marshad, and Somalia’s Finance Minister, Bihi Egeh, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday.
The MoU will support the implementation of the Saudi Program for Drilling of Wells and Rural Development in Somalia.
The program is backed by a $2 million grant from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, facilitated through SFD.
The signing ceremony was also attended by the Saudi Ambassador to Somalia, Mr. Ahmed Al-Mawlid.
This initiative aims to improve access to clean water and support rural development in Somalia, addressing key needs in vulnerable regions.
