The Director General of the National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA), Abdiwali Abdulle, met with Alper Aktaş, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Somalia, on Thursday.
During their discussions, the DG provided an update on NIRA’s operations, including progress on the National ID rollout.
They also explored avenues for collaboration, focusing on capacity building and technical support to strengthen Somalia’s identity system.
This partnership is expected to play a vital role in advancing Somalia’s digital and identification infrastructure.
