Incumbent President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo will be defending his seat.
Several opposition politicians, including two former presidents, have expressed interest to vie in the upcoming elections.
Somalia has just concluded elections for the House of the People (Lower House) seats.
Earlier, the East African nation conducted polls to elect the new members of the Senate (Upper House).
