Somalia will increase the budget for the Ministry of Education in 2023.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud announced this on Monday when he led the country in celebrating Somali Teachers Day.
Somali Teachers Day was celebrated on November 21.
The President announced that the country needs more teachers. Therefore, the federal government is ready to set aside a budget for recruiting more teachers.
He added that his government would train 3,000 teachers to join public schools.
