Dr. Fawziya Abikar Nur, the Minister of Health, visited Merka Regional Hospital in the company of the representatives of several of Somalia’s international partners.
The health minister visited the medical facility on Friday, December 18.
One of the international representatives who accompanied him on the tour included Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS).
Others included Terre Solidale, a diplomat in the Canadian Commission for Somalia and representatives from the World Health Organization (WHO) in the country.
During the visit, the leaders promised to evaluate the facility and explore the possibility of supporting it with funds, equipment, and training.
